Excerpt about Bridge Baron 11 from the book,
50 Things to Do With the Rest of Your Life
Robert Pearce Wilkins
Author, lawyer, and founding editor of several legal magazines and newsletters.
My wife and I like to play bridge. As I indicated earlier, I enjoy a computer bridge game
called Bridge Baron 11. With a game of this type, you can play bridge against the computer--and the computer is pretty
darn smart. You bid and play the hand. At each step, the "Bridge Baron" will offer suggestions as to what, in its opinion,
you should do. I prefer to make my own plays, although sometimes I might see what the Bridge Baron would do, just for
fun. After you've played the hand, you can let the computer play the hand and then study how your play compares with that
of the computer. The software's scoring technique lets you compete against the computer as you play.
