New Computer program a good way to learn

Regular readers will know that Great Games Products and their Bridge Baron computer bridge programs have been one of the two major supporters of junior bridge in our community for some years now.

Bridge Baron is one of the more sophisticated programs in that players control whether they want to play a simple game or one with all the new conventions.

Additions to this year's Version 14 will include the entire Precision and Standard American Yellow Card systems of bidding.

More that 15 new conventions, which many players and experts have adopted, have been added and include: Support Doubles, 1NT-2S Minor Suit Sign-Off, Puppet Stayman, Truscott 2NT, Sandwich 1NT, Roman Key Card 1430 Blackwood, 4-Suited Transfers after 1NT, Hello over 1NT, Impossible Negative 2NT, Transfer Stayman, Unusual Positive Responses to Precision 1C, Gamma Trump Asks, Epsilon Trump Asks, and Baron.

With Bridge Baron 14 you can: learn new bidding conventions from Bridge Baron's deals, select your defensive leads and signals and choose from over 40 skill levels. Bridge Baron has won five computer-bridge World Championships and finished a close second on other occasions, including this year at Menton, France.

A huge advantage of Baron programs is that they are Mac compatible, too.

Orders are now being accepted for Version 14 and we are happy to announce that the Canadian dollar lets you save $10 from past years' versions. For those of you ordering this month, the price is guaranteed to be $85 Cdn.
